Carbohydrates are not the same as calories. Carbohydrates related to sugar and starch, and those are the main energy source for humans. However, calories in order to obtain the amount of energy is in a particular food / drink or a meal. It's confusing, but remember that carbohydrates, mainly measured as energy (in calories or kilojoules) you can also use energy from protein and fat. So you can not still eat fat and carbs!

Foods in calories (energy contained as much) as a rule, large amounts of carbohydrates are bread, rice and potatoes and can not get much reduced energy, not to a system. The benefit is that the body of alternative energy sources and accumulated normally the reserve of body fat, while we eat has a lot to look into the past.

The foods you mention are complex carbohydrates and more time in order to be considered by the body to release glucose into the cells, these carbohydrates are good, but many (or) too little exercise are stored for use later ( in the form of fat, etc. ..).

It is tootter to eliminate simple sugars (soda, sugar, white bread, pasta) and only less complex carbohydrates, rather than eliminate them completely, or if they accumulate the weight back.

Will answer your question?
